Not so long ago, we did a reaserch to see how social media impacted teens in elementary school. The results were very interesting. Most Westman teens need social media to communicate with their friends on land because they have no other options, except perhaps having their friends' phone numbers and talking to them that way.
However, this is not as easy as it sounds. Kids of this age would rather use snapchat to chat together by sending pictures and videos between them. Children in the Westman Islands, like other children in the world, need to get to know new people, but it's a little harder for them. That's why they're so lucky to be able to use social media.
